Heavy Duty Hydro Aquaponics!

Posted by

The Aquaponics systems we design/build for our customers are always dependent on several factors:

  • Goal: What do you want to grow and why
  • Where are you going to set this up and what does the space look like
  • What is the budget we have to work with

Below are several videos that show some of the work we have done for different projects.

The Mini 200 model that we design build for people that want to give Aquaponics a try on a small scale and or budget. We have sold several of these units for teaching purposes as well. This particular setup features the following:

  • 5 1/2'x 3 1/2' Foot tray
  • 200 Gallon Fish Tank
  • 20 Gallon Sand Filter
  • Custom Framework
  • Air Pump
  • Water Pump
  • Plumbing

This project was built for a customer with a sizeable Koi pond who wanted to offer his Koi fish a more habitable spot to spend the cold winter months. This was a fun project to build because of the customer. Not only is Jeff a fun guy to work with but he also chose to use great equipment to construct the system. This system includes:

  • Four HPS 600W Ducted and Switchable Digital Lighting
  • 16 foot long pallet racking frame
  • 800 Gallon Tank
  • 30 Gallon Sand Filter
  • Custom Made Grow Bed
  • Hidden Plumbing
  • Hidden Wiring
  • Exhaust Fan

This project was built for a Restaurateur with a restaurant right across the street from the warehouse that this system was constructed. This is a three system, two story construction with fish tanks below in the basement and multi tiered grow beds on the first floor. Lit with fluorescent lighting. Designed to grow leafy greens on the top decks and fruiting vegetables on the low decks (ex. Peppers, Tomato. Cucumber and Eggplant) to offer true Farm to Fork service at the restaurant! This system includes:

  • Multi level 25' x 4' times 2 custom built grow beds
  • Ten 6 bulb HO Fluorescent Grow lights per system
  • 1200 Gallon Fish Tank
  • 80 Gallon Sand Filters
  • Large Sump Tank
  • Pool Pump Driven
  • Thru-Floor Plumbing
  • Hidden wiring

More to come!
